My advices for you is to keep yourself away from any crazy look, all black punk-look clothing, skulls design, new-era clothing! They are Anti-Christian clothing! Don`t dress to impress people, but to cover yourself and for glory of God. When you go shopping you asked yourself " Would God approve this clothing? What He would say about it?"
Now on modesty. Everywhere we go we see immodest clothing, mini skirts, mini dress, mini shorts, strapless shirts and dress. Even the wedding dresses are strapless! They are not elegant, they are vulgar. You don`t have to be like them! You will attract much more attention if you are full covered, really. It gives a sense of mystery and glamor when the lady wear modest clothing. And it is very elegant to be modest!
Just take a look on these examples.
My dear child, don`t let the modern world rule you,don`t follow exemples of celebrities who are very into scandals and into immodest clothing, don`t follow them. Make Jesus your Lord and Master, let Him guide you and let Our Lady guide you into modesty.
My dear, just think: what is more important in our lives? to please God and save our souls in order to go to Heaven? or to please and impress friends, boyfriend and ourselves wearing immodest and indecent clothing?
We live in this earth about 80, or 90 or 100 years(if we are lucky), but what is 100 years compared to eternal life? it`s nothing. Our soul is much more important than our bodies. So why not live every moment of our lives to give glory to God? in our modest clothing, in our pure hearts and minds, in our sincere love and obedience to God.
