My advice on money and material things...

      My beloved child,
    Don`t be so attached to money and material things. Money is just important to buy food, pay the bills, buy clothing(not fancy, not immodest, not unnecessary), meds and other basic necessities in life.

      But money does not buy happiness! Money can buy ticket to Disney, but not ticket to Heaven! We have to be very moderate when dealing with money. It is not a sin to be rich and have money, but money can not be god, money can not take control of our lives. If we have a lot of money, we have to be generous and help someone who really need. It is very good to help the poor, and it is not always with money, but also in donating clothing. I always have done that, even when I was poor in my home country, I always have loved the poor ! I remember when I got my first job, as kindergarten school teacher, back in my country, on my first pay I bought some bread loaves and went to downtown to give to the homeless who lived on the streets! And God who sees everything, blessed me. I always keep some clothing for donation to the poor to give away. Every time I go visit my home country or when my mom comes to visit us, I give them a lot of clothing, also a lot of school supplies. I usually don`t give them any money, because we don`t know how they will use for, maybe for drugs, they say, so I prefer to give them clothing, bread loaves, school supplies.
      I never was ambitious, I never was into money and fancy stuff. I am not saying that I am a saint, but I always have had love for simplicity. To have God and love of my family is enough for me.
